BOP access platforms
The aim of the project was to design and deliver foldable service platforms for BOP, made of aluminum. An additional challenge was to design the hinge mechanism in such a way as to avoid galvanic corrosion at the interface of three materials – carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Platforms were installed on 3 levels around the BOP to allow easy access for service and maintenance.
