Modernization of the heat system, heat balance for the plant and modernization of the furnace heat recovery system
Our task was to develop a multi-discipline project involving the modernization of the existing production plant’s heat system. The scope of the study included, among others..:
– installation of a new, larger secondary circuit distributor common for all existing circuits – DN400 (power 6344 kW);
– installation of a distributor for recovery circuits;
– additional spare connections for secondary circuits of the node;
– additional spare connections for the recovery manifold;
– selection of necessary fittings, pumps and regulation for the circuits;
– selection of the circulation pump;
– adjusting the system to the possibility of selling heat to the supplier (Veolia);
– making the heat balance of the plant – 12900 kW;
– selection of a new heat exchanger (capacity 2.1 MW) for heat recovery from the production line, circulation pump (capacity 86 m3/h) and design of a cooling water buffer tank (capacity 9.8 m3) with piping;
– the supporting frame of the tank;
– reinforcement of the existing ceiling due to the foundation of new equipment;
– foundation of the pump;
– pipeline supports.
