Design of equipment for the general repair of a crane on the Vesselfrikk platform
The NAVIC team was responsible for the project in all phases – from the concept through the executive design, testing, DNV-GL certification to production and delivery of the designed equipment to the final customer.
The designed equipment enabled a general repair of the crane carried out by Liebherr on the Vesselfrikk platform.
Within the scope of work NAVIC performed:
1) The foundation of the “Knuckleboom crane” HLK 770HP assisting the replacement of the operator’s cabin and the Liebherr crane winches.The foundation also acted as a „basket” to allow the crane to be pulled from the ship to the Vesselfrikk platform in accordance with DNV-GL 2.7-3 requirements.
2) Temporary platform with staircase assisting the replacement of the operator’s cabin and Liebherr crane winches.
3) Temporary hydraulic support for the crane together with a structure to assist in lowering the Liebherr crane’s jib.
