Adaptation of Transocean Barents (TBR) platform to work in Canada – Suncor
The NAVIC team was responsible for the project in all phases – from concept to executive design with DNV-GL certification and supervision during installation in several tasks to adapt the TBR platform for transit and campaign work in Canada.
Within the scope of work NAVIC has done:
1) Verification of the Storage Room construction including the design of the support frame for the XT tree (44T) as a parking element during maritime transit
2) Verification of deck structure at two different locations with foundation and sea fastening under 10T of winches
3) Verification of the platform’s supporting structure (Pipe Deck) together with the design of foundations for newly installed EXPRO equipment
4) Verifications of the HPU Room design including the design of the support frame for the XT tree (40T) as a parking element during maritime transit
5) Design of the new deck for Halliburton equipment (dryers, pumps and tank) with the necessary structural modifications around the newly built deck
6) Verification with deck reinforcement and sea fastening for a newly installed Mud Logging Unit
7) Modification of the 'dirty’ rainwater drainage system from the deck (Pipe deck)
8) Verification with the necessary deck modification for a new arrangement of winches
9) The foundation and sea fastening for the Enhanced container
10) Foundation and sea fastening for a temporary EXPRO workshop
